I hold a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Portsmouth. My doctoral research examined Senegalese transmigrants and their linguistic and cultural practices, with particular attention to Urban Wolof, multilingualism, identity, mobility and translanguaging.
I am the author of Urban Wolof Across Borders: Translanguaging while Transmigrating, published by Palgrave Macmillan. The book examines Urban Wolof, Senegalese migration, multilingual practices and the relationship between language, identity and cultural belonging across borders.
